Businesses Encouraged to Change Payment Processors To Support Local After-School Programs

Booster Clubs across the country are asking local businesses to consider changing their merchant services provider to BoosterPay, a program that donates 20% of all their processing revenues back to the organization to support after-school programs.

BoosterPay is a division of SignaPay, a national payment processing company that “wanted to help teens and young people whose programs are suffering from restricted or eliminated funding,” said Kevin Jones, SignaPay’s president.

“Kids need to be able to participate in after school activities and sports,” Jones said.  “Every bit of research proves that our kids do better, and our communities do better, when children are involved with structured activity and sports that build confidence and work ethic. We feel that local companies can step up to help sustain the constructive time spent on the field, in the band, cheering, and even in the stands.”

To make their program appealing to local businesses, SignaPay promises a “meet or beat” rate guarantee, top-quality service and support, plus a number of marketing incentives that announce the merchants’ participation in the program to encourage support from customers.

“Every participating merchant will get a window decal, letting their customers know that 20% of the revenues from their credit card fees will be returned to the community,” Jones explained.  “Additionally, we will promote the program in local newspapers and via social media, all of which will encourage support for the participating merchants and produce income for the Booster Club.”

“Some payment processors have given our industry a bad name,” Jones points out, “When in fact we are just individual people running individual businesses.  My goal at SignaPay is to be professional, honorable and positive at all times, and to remember where we came from.  BoosterPay is simply a way for us to give back.”
